The congregation at Prince of Peace has made a commitment to Open Doors to support the Ranney Street House, as one of our ministries. A Ranney Street Group has begun to work on this facility doing maintenance work within the house and on the surrounding grounds. Intergenerational participants include both youth and retired persons, bringing all types of skill sets to the tasks.
Congregational representatives with experience in carpentry, plumbing, gardening and interior design have put their skills to use. Renovations are planned for the kitchen and living space. The Social Concerns Committee is planning and implementing fund raising events to facilitate forward progress. Donations of services, goods and cash from the congregation are moving the projects forward.
Prince of Peace is delighted to use our hands to do God's work.
The house was completed in 2015 and blessed with this prayer
